KUWAIT, Sept 12 (KUNA) -- Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received on Wednesday United States President Special Envoy to the Gulf and Former Commander of US Central Command Ret. General Anthony Zinni accompanied by US Secretary of State Deputy Assisant to the Arabian Gulf and Near East Affairs Timothy Lenderking, along with the accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed bilateral ties and ways to strengthen strategic partnership in all fields.
The two sides also tackled developments in the region and international arena, including issues of common concern.
Sheikh Sabah praised ties between the two countries and the bilateral cooperation, which contributes to the development and prosperity in both countries.
The two US officials hailed Kuwait's exceptional role in preserving securuity and peace in the region and international arena, affirming their country's commitment to the stability and security of the State of Kuwait.
