CAIRO, July 26 (KUNA) -- The Arab League condemned on Thursday the terrorist attack carried out Wednesday by the so-called Islamic State (IS) in Al-Suwaida governorate in Syria, resulting in the death of hundreds of people.
The attacks remind everyone that terrorism is alive and thusly an immediate action must be taken to uproot the source of such evil, Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmad Abul-Gheit said in a statement.
The statement showed that stabilizing the situation in Syria would help reinforcing the efforts to clear out terrorism; otherwise, civilians will continue to pay the price of the ongoing conflict.
"Terrorism is condemned no matter who executes it, and there must be no place for terrorist organizations that kill civilians and encourages destructions of Syria," the statement added. (end) mfm.hdr.bb
