KUWAIT, July 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Football Association (KFA) held Tuesday draws for competitions of 2018-19 season, which includes two-level VIVA league, and Cups of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown prince.
The season would start with a clash between Kuwait SC, last season's league champion, and Qadsia SC, His Highness the Crown Prince Cup winner, on August 18.
VIVA league would start on August 26, featuring 15 teams divided into premier league and regular league.
The premier league includes 10 teams, each plays two legs.
Premier league teams are Qadsia, Arabi, Kuwait, Tadamon, Al-Jahra, Salmiya, Kazma, Al-Nasr, Fahaheel and Al-Shabab..
Regular league teams are Burqan, Yarmouk, Sulaibikhat, Khaitan and Sahel.
The 9th and 10th positions in the premier league will be relegated automatically, while 1st and 2nd places of the league will be promoted to the premier one.
Meanwhile, KFA held the draw for His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince Cups, which would begin next April.
Fifteen teams will play the knock-out Cups, divided into two groups, each chaired by Qadsia SC and Kuwait SC. (end) tms.bs
