WASHINGTON, June 26 (KUNA) -- An explosion at a hospital in Central Texas has left four injured, one critically, authorities confirmed late Tuesday.
Authorities and emergency crews responded to reports of a large explosion at Coryell Memorial Healthcare System hospital in Gatesville, Texas, about 40 miles west of Waco. Hospital spokesperson Carly Latham confirmed the injuries in the blast, which knocked out power to a many nearby residents. Patients were also evacuated from the hospital and from two nearby nursing homes.
The incident occurred in a construction site on the hospital grounds. Investigators are reportedly looking into a boiler room that was under construction. (end) hy.ibi
