RAMALLAH, May 24 (KUNA) -- Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said on Thursday that he would seek approval from a planning committee for the building of 2,500 new settlement houses in the West Bank.
"The 2,500 new units we will approve in the planning committee next week are for immediate construction in 2018," Lieberman said, adding that he would also seek the committee's approval for a further 1,400 settlement units for later construction.
Israeli settlements on the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, is a flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions. (end) nq.haq
