DUBAI, May 23 (KUNA) -- Director General of UAE Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Saif Mohammad Al-Suwaidi said on Wednesday that reports about a FlyDubai airplane being hijacked is untrue.
Flight number 301 was headed from Dubai to Kabul city had safely returned to Dubai and the passengers continued their flight that left Dubai International Airport at 8:31 am local time, said Al-Suwaidi in a press release.
What is being published on the Internet about the hijacking of an airplane in Iranian airspace is groundless and the accident was a result of a reckless behavior from a passenger on the plane, and was arrested by authorities when the plane landed in Dubai International Airport, Al-Suwaidi added.
