KHARTOUM, May 16 (KUNA) -- Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia signed in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Wednesday a three-way agreement regarding the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
The three countries agreed on forming a joint team of experts to study storage and operating rules regarding the dam, said Sudanese Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources in a statement.
It added that the three countries agreed to hold a tripartite summit twice a year to strengthen regional cooperation and also hold a meeting in Cairo to discuss the implementation plan of the infrastructure fund. The Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is located on the Blue Nile about 15 km from Sudan's border and has about 74 billion cubic meters of storage capacity. (end) mmm.aa
