ISTANBUL, March 25 (KUNA) -- Turkey said it killed three Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) members in northern Iraq, the Army Command said on Sunday.
It said a drone spotted the location of four PKK members five kilometers inside the Iraqi territories.
The drone, backed by artillery, bombed the location and killed three PKK members, it added.
The Turkish army and security forces have been pounding PKK positions in the south and southeast of Turkey as well as in northern Iraq.
Earlier today, Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the army launched an operation against PKK in Sinjar, Nineveh, Iraq.
Baghdad denied his statement saying no foreign forces were in this area. (end) ta.bs
