ANKARA, March 2 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Teyyip Erdogan said Friday Turkish forces killed 2,348 "terrorists" since launch of operation Olive Branch in Syria's northwestern city of Afrin, in January.
He made the announcement in a statement to the press.
Turkish forces and their allied troops in Syria launched operation Olive Branch last January 20 to crack down on Kurdish and so-called Islamic State (IS) militants in Afrin.
Turkey lost 41 forces while the Free Syrian Army lost 116 servicemen since the launch of the military operation. (end)
