KUWAIT, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Tuesday announced the conclusion of International Coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) ministerial meeting with 75 the participation of concerned entities.
The meeting adopted principled guidelines with the aim to secure consistency of coordination in pursue of combating IS's financing sources, media machine, and recruitment among other means the extreme group utilizes, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled said in a press conference after the meeting.
Coalition members are abiding by relevant UN Security Council resolutions 2396 and 2054, he pointed out. 

On his part, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson reiterated that Kuwait is an important "partner" to the United States and its organization and hosting of KICRI and the anti-IS international coalition ministerial meeting reflected its keenness in achieving peace in the area.
He added that he had constructive talks with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on regional developments and current state of affairs, mainly in Iraq and Iran.
Congratulating Kuwait on attaining a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council at the beginning of this year, Tillerson trusted it will play a major role in key international issues.
Tillerson pointed out that today's ministerial meeting witnessed the inclusion of a new member to the coalition; the Philippines.
Defeating IS in Iraq and Syria means that all coalition members should work to maintain efforts achieved, as well as offering needed assistant to liberated areas and facilitate return of the displaced. (end) hb
