JEDDAH, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Thursday vehemently denounced a recent attack on the British aid agency "Save the Children" in Afghanistan's eastern Jalalabad City.
OIC Secretary-General Yousef Al-Othaimeen, in a press release. expressed shock and sadness over this "heinous act that runs contrary to the sanctity of human lives and humanity".
Al-Othaimeen offered sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and the Afghan government and people over the victims of the attack, and wished swift recovery of the injured.
The OIC chief reaffirmed the OIC's principled position based on decrying all forms and manifestations of terrorism.
An attack on the office of international NGO "Save The Children" in Jalalabad, Afghanistan on Wednesday, killed at least five people and wounded 25 others. (end) nh.mt
