RAMALLAH, Jan 20 (KUNA) -- Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyadh Al-Malki called on the International Criminal Court's (ICC) Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda Saturday to prevent the Israeli occupation, in line with her jurisdiction, from committing crimes against the Palestinians.
Al-Malki sent a letter to Bensouda explaining the violence committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian civilians, which killed 16 of them and injured around 3,000 others.
These attacks, he said, also resulted in the apprehension of 720 Palestinians including 184 children.
The foreign ministry said the letter included details about the illegal arrest of 16-year-old girl Ahad Tamimi.
The Israeli forces' wide-scale violations against the Palestinian people are part of suppression and discrimination policies of the occupation, he said.
Al-Malki called on Bensouda to act and ask the Israeli occupation to stop its systematic violations against children. (end) nq.bs
