KUWAIT, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah heaped praise on what he described as the "exceptional role" of land forces in protecting the nation.
The remarks were made as the senior official visited several military bases in the northern regions of the country and witnessed live tank maneuvers, according to a Defence Ministry statement.
The development of the military component is the result of "diligence and continuous training," Sheikh Nasser told the soldiers, valuing their contributions to the nation.
He also relayed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
According to the statement, Sheikh Nasser visited the Wajeb Force Commandment and the 35th Martyr's Brigade at Al-Adaire Base, where he witnessed the tank drills and met senior officers stationed there. (end) ays.sd
