CAIRO, Dec 28 (KUNA) -- A roadside bomb exploded Thursday in a military convoy in the restive Sinai Peninsula killing one officer and five soldiers.
In a press statement, the Egyptian army said that attack was carried out during a raid on a terrorist hideout in the Northern Sinai.
It added that the army killed three terrorists and seized caches of weapons and ammunition.
Earlier today, a soldier and a civilian person were killed a separate militant attack on a bank in Al-Aresh city, also in Northern Sinai. (end) aff.ibi
