AMMAN, Dec. 25 (KUNA) -- Jordanian King Abdullah II on Monday, received a telephone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan in which they discussed the latest developments related to Jerusalem.
During the phone conversation, the King and Erdogan stressed the importance of supporting the Palestinian brethren as well as protecting Jerusalem in light of the recent resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the UN General Assembly vote that rejected the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the Jordanian news agency (PETRA) reported.
The King and Erdogan agreed to continue coordinating joint efforts and work together to preserve the status quo in Jerusalem. (end) ob.ibi
