RIYADH, Dec 20 (KUNA) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud made a telephone call to US President Donald Trump on Wednesday to mull the response to the Houthi missile attack on Riyadh.
During the call, the US president condemned the attempt by the Houthi militia to target the city of Riyadh with a ballistic missile, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
It added that President Trump condemned this criminal attempt, which was a blatant attack on the kingdom's sovereignty and targeted a populated area. He asserted the stand of the US with the kingdom in confronting threats to its national security.
They also discussed the measures to implement the relevant Security Council resolutions, hold the Iranian regime accountable for its aggressive actions and supplying its Houthi militia with missiles to threaten the security and stability of the kingdom and the countries of the region.
The two leaders stressed the need to support all relief and humanitarian operations in order to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people. (end) od.ibi
