KUWAIT, Dec 5 (KUNA) -- The representative of Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman, Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs Fahad bin Mahmoud Al-Saeed said he was "honoured" to be attending the 38th Gulf Cooperation Council in Kuwait on Tuesday.
In a statement upon his arrival, the Omani official conveyed the greetings of Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed to Gulf state representatives and said he hoped the talks would reach the six-nation bloc's aspired goals in support of integration.
"Oman profoundly expresses its appreciation of the efforts of Kuwait and its leadership to bridge the gap, coordinate positions and align viewpoints amongst member states in order to address all developments," he said.
"These efforts have the full backing of the Sultanate of Oman," he added, in their aim to "boost security and stability in the region and achieve the aspirations of Gulf people for a better future." (pickup previous) sd
