NEW YORK, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- UN Security Council members condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist and cowardly attack on worshippers in a mosque in northern Sinai, Egypt, killing 235 people and wounding 109 others.
The UNSC in a statement extended condolences for families of the victims, and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
The members said terrorism was one of the largest threats against international peace and security.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres also condemned the attack on Al-Rawda mosque in Bir Al-Abed.
He called for bringing those responsible for justice as soon as possible. (end) asf.bs
