PARIS, Nov 10 (KUNA) -- Three people were hurt, one seriously, in a truck attack near Toulouse airport zone in southern France, but security sources are unsure if the attack was terrorist-motivated, France Info radio reported.
The attack took place in late Friday afternoon in Blagnac commune as a driver deliberately ran his small truck into a crowd of mostly students on the sidewalk.
One woman was said to be in serious condition and the driver was detained.
"France Info" said the driver was not on the "S" security list for suspected terrorists and serious criminals. But the radio said he was wanted on an arrest warrant the motive of which was not revealed.
France has suffered similar and much more serious attacks claimed by so-called Islamic State (IS).
In an attack on Bastille Day, 14 July 2016, an assailant claiming to be a "soldier" of IS ran a 19-tonne truck into pedestrians in Nice, killing 82 and wounding hundreds.
Several other European cities, among them London, Berlin and Barcelona, have been hit by similar vehicle attacks. (end)
