KUWAIT, Oct 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Senegal Saleh Al-Saqabi presented his credentials to the President of Gambia Adama Barrow as a Non-resident Ambassador to his country.
The ceremony was held at the presidential palace in the capital Banjul in the presence of the foreign minister, finance minister, head of the presidential office and head of protocol.
Ambassador Al-Saqabi conveyed greetings on behalf of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the Gambian leader and people, congratulating them on the success of the recent presidential election, said a statement by Kuwaiti embassy.
Al-Saqabi reiterated the strong relation between both nations, asserting that the Kuwaiti government is eager to enhance cooperation in all fields.
On his part, President Barrow hailed the deep ties between his country and Kuwait, the statement concluded.
Ambassador Al-Saqabi had submitted his credentials in advance to Gambian's Foreign Minister Abu baker Hussain Dabu. (end) nhq
