RAMALLAH, Oct 16 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee Monday expressed support for the conciliation agreement that was reached in Cairo by Fatah and Hamas movements.
The committee, in a meeting chaired by President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, said in a statement it supported the agreement because it would enable the government to end division, unite the political system and prepare for general elections.
It warned against the Israeli government's plans to ratify construction of around 3,800 housing units in occupied West Bank lands. (end) nq.bs
