ISTANBUL, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- Turkish security forces killed on Tuesday two members of the Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) who were preparing to carry out a terrorist attack in the Province of Chanak, southeast of the country, said the Turkish army. A statement reported that the operation, which lasted for four hours, resulted also in the confiscation of sniper rifles, grenades, and documents belonging to the terrorist cell.
In response to previous attacks, the Turkish security forces and army are targeting PKK sites in areas south and southeast of Turkey as well as northern Iraq and Syria. (end) to.sm
