CAIRO, Aug 24 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait has always made sure of its effective participation in various activities and meetings meant to serve issues of joint concern for the Arabs, a visiting official has affirmed.

The renewed assertion was made by the Kuwaiti ministry of finance's assistant undersecretary for economic affairs Nabil Al-Abduljalil, in a statement to KUNA, on sidelines of the 100th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council -- where he chaired the Kuwaiti delegation.
Kuwait has earnestly taken part in all Arab economic and social-level meetings, he said.
As to today's meeting, the conferees decided to submit the file of economic and social issues to the Arab League Council, pending submission to the next Arab Summit, due in Saudi Arabia in March 2018.
Other resolutions, taken n today's meeting, tackled matters related to the pan-Arab investment treaty, the mega free trade zone and prospects of increasing trade exchanges among the Arab countries.
Meanwhile, the council called for continuing support for the Palestinian economy to help the Palestinians resist the occupation.
At the session conclusion, the council affirmed keenness on implementing the Riyadh summit resolutions related to ventures in the occupied territories to help the Arab residents of Jerusalem steadfast.
It called on the Arab League General Secretariat, in coordination with the Israel Boycott Office, to enlist companies that deal with the Israeli occupation. (end) mfm.rk
