BAGHDAD, Aug 13 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi on Sunday met with visiting Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmad on ways of strengthening and cementing bilateral relations in various areas.
During the meeting, they also addressed the latest regional developments and anti-terrorism efforts, according to an Iraqi governmental release.
The Iraqi prime minister pointed to his country's determination to fight the so-called Islamic State (IS), while underscoring the significance of regional integration and mutual interests.
However, Al-Abadi called on all countries in the region and across the world to exert concerted efforts in order to eliminate the so-called IS, the release added.
On his part, Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmad reiterated his country's support to Iraq in its fight against terrorism, voicing his country's willingness to further its political, economic, trade and cultural relations with Iraq.
The Bahraini foreign minister arrived in Baghdad earlier in the day on an official visit to Iraq. (Pick up previous) ahh.mt
