KUWAIT, May 28 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has prepared 26 mosques nationwide dedicated to receive worshippers performing late-night prayers during the Muslims' holy month of Ramadan, Minister Mohammad Al-Jabri said on Sunday.
Al-Jabri, also Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, made the statement during a tour to the mosques which started in Belal bin Rabah Mosque, aimed at seeing first-hand readiness to host the worshippers.
He said the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has started preparing the mosques before advent of Ramadan in order to create suitable atmospheres for worshippers.
These mosques, added Al-Jabri, would also witness lectures and Quran lessons throughout Ramadan. (end) sss.bs
