KUWAIT, May 1 (KUNA) -- The new Al-Zour refinery project is considered one of the most prominent strategic projects of "Kuwait 2035" vision.
The project is a significant edifice that would place Kuwait National Petroleum Cmpany (KNPC) amongst the top global refining companies in terms of refining capacity and producing environmentally-friendly fuel that meets all international environment conditions.
The new refinery is an essential part of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation & KNPC's strategy to increase the refining capacity of Kuwait up to 1.41 million bpd, from the current 615,000 bpd, including 225,000 bpd of low-sulfur fuel oil to meet the requirements of power generating stations in Kuwait, which will highly reduce the environmental impacts, too.(end).
