ISLAMABAD, March 16 (KUNA) -- The Pakistan Navy successfully test-fired surface to sea missile equipped with modern technology and avionics, Navy said on Thursday.
The missile hit the target in the sea accurately, a spokesperson of Pakistani Navy said in a statement, noting that the induction of the missile would help strengthen the Navy's defense and operational capabilities.
Meanwhile, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah felicitated, in a statement, the officers and crew, and said that this weapon system has added a new dimension in the operational reach of the Pakistan Navy.
Earlier in January, Islamabad successfully test-fired a submarine cruise missile Babur-III that can strike targets both at land and sea with high accuracy at a range of 700 kilometers. (end) sbk.ma
