BEIRUT, March 10 (KUNA) -- One Palestinian refugee was killed and other persons were injured in armed clashes in perimeter of the Palestinian Bourj Al-Barajneh refugee camp on Friday.
The clashes killed an elderly Palestinian refugee and injured others inside the camp including an official in the Hamas group and a cameraman of a Lebanese TV channel who was reporting the events, a source inside the camp told KUNA.
He said the clashes began by a personal problem between Lebanese and Palestinians living in the perimeter of the camp, denying any political fued.
The source, who requested anonymity, said the Palestinian groups inside the camp were holding meetings with the Lebanese forces and Lebanese authorities to calm the situation down.
The Palestinian factions in Lebanon condemned the clashes in Bourj Al-Barajneh.
Palestinian and Lebanese gunmen traded gunfire and hand-grenades in the clashes in Hey Al-Joura located close to the shanty town in Beirut's southern suburbs. (pickup previous)
