BEIRUT, Feb 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) continued Saturday to deliver food rations to Syrian refugees residing in Lebanon.
Speaking to KUNA, head of the society's field team Khaled Al-Mkhyal revealed that 500 food rations were delivered to Syrian refugee families in Akkar district northern Lebanon.
KRCS will continue its efforts to provide necessary assistance to the Syrian refugees in Lebanon and elsewhere, said the official.
Since the eruption of the Syrian crisis in March of 2011, millions of Syrians were displaced in their own country and also sought refuge in other countries around the globe.
Kuwait had been on the forefront of humanitarian efforts in helping the Syrian refugees and displaced to overcome their dilemma. (end) mah.gta
