HATAY, Turkey, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti medical team arrived in the Turkish border region of Hatay on Thursday to treat injured Syrian refugees.
The team coordinator, Dr. Bassel Al-Shemmari, told KUNA that the expedition themed "medicine and cure," is the 11th to be conducted by the group, with supervision by the Kuwaiti Zakat House.
The Kuwaiti team, which groups elite doctors and surgeons, will organize dispatch of drugs and medical equipment to hospitals and medical centers in Syria.
They plan to examine and treat up to 1,500 patients at Al-Amal Hospital in Rehanli, Hatay, and will provide medical drugs to thousands of patients in ten hospitals.
