JEDDAH, Nov 26 (KUNA) -- The command of the Saudi-led coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen announced Saturday that the Royal Saudi Air Defence (RSADF) intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Yemen.
The missile, targeting the southern city of Khamis Mushait, was destroyed without leaving any casualty or damage, according to a statement issued by the command and carried by the Saudi Press Agency.
On Thursday, October 27, the RSADF intercepted a ballistic missile fired by the Ansarullah militia from Sa'da governorate, northwest Yemen, towards the Holy Makkah region.
The foiled attack targeting Makkah and the similar missile attacks on the southern parts of Saudi Arabia drew angry reactions by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and its member states. (end) nh.gb
