PARIS, Sept 15 (KUNA) -- Islam has been "instrumental to the co-existence of different religions and ideologies ever since it first surfaced in the Arab world and across the globe," a Kuwaiti official said on Thursday.
Speaking at the "2016 International Conference on Peace," which kicked off Wednesday, Kuwait's Permanent Delegate to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Dr. Mishal Hayat said that "Islam has always promoted tolerance, unity and peace."
