KUWAIT, Sept 7 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Wednesday expressed hope that Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) would play a role in bolstering Kuwait's economic status.
His Highness the Crown Prince expressed his aspiration in this respect during a reception of Minister of Commerce and Industry and KDIPA Chairman Dr. Yousef Mohammad Abdullah Al-Ali, accompanied by General Director of the investment authority, Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Board members.
The authority's officials delivered to His Highness Sheikh Nawaf the 2015 KDIPA annual report and briefed him about its accomplishments as well as future strategies.
His Highness lauded their efforts, expressing hope the authority would contribute to strengthening Kuwait's economic status, in line with the State strategy of attaining economic diversification for sake of speedy growth and multiplying income resources.
The KDIPA had been established to lure external investments into the country. The move had been coupled with diverse and encouraging administrative and legal facilities. (end) rk
