RIYADH, Aug 14 (KUNA) -- The command of coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen announced on Sunday the reopening of Sanaa International Airport for flights by aid agencies as of tomorrow.
The United Nations and other international humanitarian organizations will be able to use the airport provided that they inform the coalition in advance for the safety of aid workers, according to a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
To ensure the safety and security of aid workers, the coalition suspended the air flights from August 9, 2016 until August 15, 2016.
During this period, the coalition received 12 requests, none of which included relief or humanitarian supplies, but all of them were related to the transfer of employees of international organizations. (end) od.gb
