RAMALLAH, June 27 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon Monday called on Israel to act responsibly towards Palestinians people.
Ban said during his visit today to Tel Aviv University, that it is the duty of the international community to help end the occupation and achieve the two-state solution with both Israelis and Palestinians living side by side in peace and security.
He called on the Palestinian and Israeli sides to thowart attempts by the extremists to impose their will.
The UN chief is scheduled to visit the Gaza Strip on Tuesday and meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas tomorrow evening in Ramallah. (end) nq.tg
