ANKARA, March 7 (KUNA) -- Ten Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants have been killed in southeast Turkey's Diyarbakir and Sirnak provinces, the Turkish military announced Monday.
"Four PKK terrorists were killed and 16 improvised explosive devices were defused in Diyarbakir's Sur district Sunday," the Turkish General Staff said in a statement.
Also, six other PKK militants were killed, 18 explosives were defused in Sirnak's Idil district, and several weapons were also seized, the military said.
Moreover, 24 IS suspects were detained while they were attempting to enter Syria from Turkey's Gaziantep province, it added.
The PKK was listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the European Union (EU). (end) rs.mt
