KUWAIT, Feb 23 (KUNA) -- The Bonyan charity is set to dispatch three relief convoys for Syrian refugees in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon, the society's board chairman Soleiman Al-Shatti said on Tuesday.
The Kuwaiti charity's humanitarian aid comes at a time when Kuwait marks its national festivals and occasions, Al-Shatti told KUNA.
He said his charity is keen to make Syrian refugees happy by sending them fresh humanitarian and relief aid, and to deliver them a message that the people of Kuwait can never forget them in joy and sorrow.
The Bonyan charity has sent around 120 relief convoys since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis as part of Kuwait's humanitarian efforts to alleviate the sufferings and woes of the Syrian people in general and refugees in host countries in particular, he added.
Al-Shatti emphasized that Syrian refugees in host countries need urgent humanitarian help especially due to the current bad weather circumstances.
He noted that his society's relief aid mainly includes foodstuff, blankets, medicine, heating devices and baby formula. (end) amn.aas.mt
