PARIS, Jan 13 (KUNA) -- France strongly condemned the killing of two Iraqi journalists in Diyala province in eastern Iraq, calling on authorities to exert all efforts to arrest perpetrators of this crime.
"France condemns the murder of Iraqi journalists Saif Talal and Hassan Al-Anbaki on January 12 in Diyala Province in Iraq. It extends its condolences to their families and colleagues," French Foreign Ministry spokesman Roman Nadal said in a press statement.
"We urge the Iraqi authorities to shed full light on these murders and to bring the perpetrators to justice," he added.
France reaffirms its attachment to the freedom of expression, freedom of the press, and the protection of journalists who must be able to carry out their work in complete safety all over the world, said the statement. (end) amm.ma
