CAIRO, Dec 31 (KUNA) -- Teaching youth moderation and understanding will protect them against terrorism and extremist ideals, said the visiting Kuwait Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sane.
Speaking at a forum organized by the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) Egypt Branch, held late on Wednesday, the Minister said the advent of social media networks made it easier for extremists to infiltrate the minds of youth, adding that extremism had many shapes and forms.
Freedom of faith and coexistence are the key ingredients for any successful society, said the official, stressing that notions of moderation were already integrated in the message of Islam.
Al-Sane was participating in a forum on moderation and understanding within Kuwaiti society. (end) ms.gta
