RAMALLAH, Nov 20 (KUNA) -- There are 400 children between the ages of 11-17 that are in Israeli prisons, Palestinian POW Club pointed out, as the world marks Universal Children's Day on November 20.
In a press statement, the Club said that many children get shot during their arrest and were transferred to Israeli hospitals to receive treatment.
Throughout the year, arrest operations against children have been carried out; the highest number of arrest took place in October and November where 700 kids were arrested.
Arrested children, the statement pointed out, are held at interrogation centers with no food or water; they are forced to make confessions through physical and verbal coercion. (end) nq.nfm
