Kuwait, June 30 (KUNA) -- The terrorist cell that carried out Al-Imam Al-Sadiq suicide attack last Friday has been "done with," said Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
There are more cells that "we will not wait" but will pre-empt them, the Minister told a National Assembly session on Tuesday.
Some 26 people were killed and 227 others wounded in the suicide blast that hit the mosque in Al-Sawaber area of Kuwait city during last Friday noon prayer.
"We are at a state of war," the Minister noted. "I do not care much that a 23-year-old man travels from Riyadh to Bahrain and then to Kuwait in less than 12 hours to blow himself up. We are after those managing him and will target them." The ministry on Sunday said they had identified the suicide bomber that attacked Al-Imam Al-Sadiq on Friday as a Saudi named Fahad Suleiman Abdulmohsen Al-Gabbaa, born in 1992. He arrived in Kuwait by air Friday dawn, just hours before the crime took place.
The minister also stressed the necessity of maintaining and safeguarding national unity as the ideal way to tackle such attempt to disrupt security and stability in the country.
He also urged people not to believe rumors, vowing that the Interior Minister would inform people about everything related to the mosque blast. (Pick up previous) hrz.fs.msa
