KUWAIT, June 28 (KUNA) -- Ministry of Information said Saturday Kuwait Radio has joined the rest of sectors in mourning victims of the criminal act that targeted Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Al-Sawaber area, until further notice.
Assistant Undersecretary for Radio Affairs Sheikh Fahad Al-Sabah made the announcement and denounced, in a press statement, the despicable act that shocked Kuwait, adding that it was targeting unity of Kuwaitis.
He also expressed his condolences and sorrow for the death of TV actor and radio personality Abdulhameed Al-Rifaei, who was among the deceased victims.
"This criminal act is nothing but despicable extremism, of which aftershock boosted the spirit of brotherhood and consolidation among Kuwaitis of all backgrounds and ethnicities," said Sheikh Fahad.
The terrorists will fail in their attempts due to Kuwaitis' unity behind their political leadership, he added.
Sheikh Fahad also expressed his deep condolences to the martyrs' families, praying to Allah almighty to bestow his mercy upon the deceased, wishing speedy recovery for the wounded. (end) mdm.ma
