KUWAIT, June 27 (KUNA) -- Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani has extended deepest condolences for the families of the victims of the "criminal" attack against Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque downtown Kuwait.
The attack, which took place during Friday prayers, killed 27 people and injured 227 others.
"As we share with you (families of the victims) the sorrow and pain ... We praise Allah the Almighty to bestow blessing upon the loved ones and bless the injured with speedy recovery, and protect all Muslim countries from evil of enemies," Sistani said in a brief statement. (end) bs
