KUWAIT, May 13 (KUNA) -- Director General of the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) Msaad Al-Assosi said Wednesday that the (electronic envelope) project is a quantum leap to clients due to its new mechanism and interaction between clients and the PACI.
Al-Assosi briefed, in a press conference, audience on the envelope project and its main goal of how the PACI communicates with clients without the need for clients to show up in PACI facilities, noting that PACI adopted this technique for some time now by placing devices in cooperative societies, but stressing the electronic envelope project will be activated through PACI website.
The official explained that the new project will make it easier for clients to do and follow their application process through the website, including scanning documents, selecting desired sections or services, and PACI will respond within 40 seconds after the completing the transaction.
Al-Assosi added that the project aims at improving mechanism of operations at the PACI, noting that the services provided through specific electronic envelope at the moment are four services, and they are: birth registration, registration of servants, renewal services for Kuwaitis and non-Kuwaitis.
The authority will offer additional services in the future, and is keen on making 90 percent of its services through electronic automation, Al-Assosi added. (end) akw.mb
