RIYADH, April 29 (KUNA) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has relieved the Crown Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of the senior post and ordered a leadership reshuffle covering other senior posts, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. "His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud is to be relieved as Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister in response to his request," the Saudi Monarch said in his Royal Order, broadcast by the SPA, early on Wednesday.

The Saudi Monarch named Prince Mohammad Bin Nayef Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud as successor to Prince Muqrin, as well as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Council of Political and Security Affairs.

Prince Mohammad Bin Salman was named the Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy of the Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs.
The veteran Foreign Minister, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, was also relieved in response to his request, due to his health condition. Prince Saud was appointed Minister of State, Cabinet Member, Advisor, Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Supervisor of Foreign Affairs.
Adel Al-Jubair, who served as the Kingdom's ambassador to the United States, succeeded Prince Saud Al-Faisal.
Prince Mansour Bin Muqrin was appointed as the King Advisor with a Ministerial Degree.

The leadership reshuffle covered several other leading posts. Khaled Al-Faleh was named Minister of Health. Minister of Planning and Economy Mohammad Al-Jasser was dismissed but named as Advisor at the Royal Court with a Ministerial Degree.
   Minister of Labor Adel Al-Faqih was also dismissed and named Minister of Economy and Planning. He was succeeded in the labor portfolio by Mefrej al-Haqbani.
   The Deputy Royal Court Chairman, Khaled Al-Issa, was dismissed and appointed as Minster of State, Cabinet Member, Member of the Council of Political and Security Affairs.
   Hamad Al-Suwailem as named Chief of the Royal Court, while Saleh Al-Jasser was appointed Advisor at the Royal Court.
   Sheikh Khaled Al-Yusuf was named as Chairman of the Complaints Court, Nasser Al-Shahrani as the Deputy Chairman of the Human Rights Authority.
   The royal order affected several other ranking posts.
   The Saudi Monarch also ordered disbursing financial bonus, equal to a monthly salary, for personnel of military and security sectors. (end)
