BAGHDAD, April 9 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi said Wednesday Iraqi forces' next mission would be to liberate Al-Anbar province from the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL), and they would emerge victorious as they did in Tikrit.
"Our next battle will be in the land of Al-Anbar to liberate it and we will win and liberate it from ISIL like we have won in Tikrit," Al-Abadi said in a statement, released by his office, during his visit to Habaniya military base.
Al-Arabi was briefed the military officers about the security situation in Anbar and the plans to liberate it.
He said ISIL were posing a threat to Iraq, the region and entire world.
