CAIRO, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- A girl was killed Friday when she was hit by a bullet during clashes between supporters and opponents of the Muslim Brotherhood, who were demonstrating east of the coastal city of Alexandria, the Ministry of Health said.
The clashes, added the ministry in a statement, also injured two persons who were later taken to hospital for treatment.
Director of Alexandria intelligence department Brigadier Shareef Abdulhameed was informed about the clashes and that the two sides were using guns.
Abdulhameed affirmed the security forces did not use gunfire when they engaged with the demonstrators who triggered the clashes. (end) esm.bs
