GAZA, June 29 (KUNA) -- Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has recommended that Israel re-occupy Gaza Strip to stop missile attacks.
Israel Radio quoted Lieberman, on Sunday, as saying that current military escalation along the demarcation line of Gaza should nudge Israel to ponder prospects of re-occupying the coastal regions (of Gaza)."
Lieberman expressed his belief that Israel should plan re-occupation of the whole enclave, arguing that a military incursion would only "result in strengthening" the Islamic movement, Hamas.
His call coincided with stepped-up Israeli air attacks on suspected rocket-launching locations in the enclave. (end)
