KUWAIT, June 24 (KUNA) -- The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has enlisted the services of a specialized firm to set up its new electronic portal that will handle all information regarding aviation matters in the country, said the Directorate's chief Fawaz Al-Farah on Tuesday.
The portal will make it easy for the Directorate to deal with travel agencies and cargo shipping companies, in addition to avail these agencies and companies immediate and smooth access to communicating with the Directorate's personnel regarding administrative or technical matters, said Al-Farah, in a statement to KUNA.
All information regarding flights and cargo services will be available to passengers and others instantly on the new electronic portal, he said, noting that any grievances on the part of the public or travel agents can be posted on the portal at once and can be easily tracked to find out if they have been redressed.
He said the Directorate had signed a contract last April with the specialized company to set up the portal which should be up and running in six months. (end) mgb.ajs
