KUWAIT, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- Qadsia SC won His Highness the Crown Prince Football Cup for the eighth time in the club history after beating rival Al-Arabi SC 2-1 on Tuesday.
Qadsia's first goal was scored by Syrian international Omar Soma who nailed a penalty in the 79th minute of the final which was patronized and attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Parliament Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim and other officials.
Saif Al-Hashan added Qadsia's second goal. Al-Arabi's Syrian international Mahmoud Mawwas scored his team's lone goal in the 93 minute.
The match stopped for 18 minutes because Al-Arabi players were protesting against the referee's calls, foremost the penalty kick.
